About Restored


Restored specialises in antique, vintage, shabby-chic and retro furniture expertly refinished in Betel's workshops. Our non-profit stores can be found on high streets across the country and stock a wide range of classic British, Dutch and French furniture as well as new mango wood pieces crafted by residents in our centres in India.

The Restored shops and online business are part of Betel UK;  an independent Christian charity dedicated to bringing restoration to the lives of men, women and families who have been affected by drug and alcohol addiction.

Like all of Betel’s businesses our Restored shops are staffed and managed by the men and women living and working within the Betel community and learning to live restored lives free from addiction and homelessness.  Restoration

Much of our furniture comes to us in need of some care and attention. It is lovingly restored in our workshops where the skilled work is carried out by our residents and is overseen by our more experienced carpenters and craftsmen. The final result is beautifully crafted furniture, carefully restored and given a new lease of life.

Cafés

Some of our Restored shops also house welcoming cafés which sell quality coffees, teas, hot chocolate and cold beverages as well as homemade cakes and snacks. They are a lovely place to socialise and enjoy a drink or snack, whether looking for furniture or not.

Finding what you want

If you are not able to find the specific piece you are looking for in store or online then we may be able to source what you need. Many of our pieces can also be refinished or painted to suit your requirements. Just ask the shop keeper or contact us.

Bespoke Work

In addition to restoring furniture to sell we also take on private restoration work including repairs, stripping and refinishing, waxing or lacquering and painting. If you have some furniture that you would like restoring please send us photos to the email address below with a description of the work you would like carried out. We would be happy to discuss the work required and to give you a quote. Items for restoration can either be dropped off at our nearest shop or we can arrange pick up and redelivery once the work is complete.
