This traditional oak bureau would make a great addition to any home study or office.
The two drawers and internal compartments provide lots of useful storage for papers, envelopes, and other stationery. Once opened the lid, supported by solid supports offers a large practical space for writing letters or perhaps arts & crafts. There is ample room to sit once the lid is extended making this very functional.
We have carefully stripped this piece back and applied a coat of clear lacquer to accentuate the rich natural grain of the oak underneath.
There are various marks on this piece, but this is to be expected of furniture of this age and does little to detract from the overall character.
With its original handles and turned legs, this lovely bureau is a perfect place to sit and pen letters to loved ones.
